Would You Rather: Watch Tiger In Contention Sunday At The BMW Championship or NFL Week 1?

Yes, I know in today’s world it is very easy to watch both, but let’s say hypothetically you were only allowed to watch one, which do you choose? Tiger Woods, who for this hypothetical, would be in the lead heading into Sunday, with what already looks like a stacked field behind him, especially after the show Rory put on today as well. Vying for that elusive 80th PGA Tour victory, even though it is not a major, Tiger is the needle and any tournament he is near the top, is must watch television. Now the question is…Is the Tiger Needle stronger than the NFL Needle?
EAGLE for @TigerWoods.

Historically low for @TigerWoods.
Today's 29 is the second-lowest 9-hole score of his career.#LiveUnderPar pic.twitter.com/1hBGxwC1Fy

The Tiger Needle is stronger than ever after a Thursday 62 at the BMW Championship, and putting on a show for everyone who is struggling at work after LDW. Sure, “Football is Back”, but nothing will ever be as back as Tiger will be when he gets that first win, and I would not miss that for a Week 1 football game. Especially as a Patriots fan, the season really doesn’t start until January, so I can sacrifice watching Brady pick apart the Houston D, to watch Tiger grab that win he has been waiting for.

The hypothetical is easy for me as a Tiger fan boy, but I am interested in hearing from the casual golf fan, and big football fan, if they would give up Week 1 of football to watch Tiger try to finally get that win. Now in reality I will have TV 1 on Tiger, Pats on TV 2, and RedZone on TV3, so we don’t have to worry about choosing one or the other, but I would love to know how many people would choose Tiger over Football. In my opinion, if Tiger wins this weekend at Aronimink, I would not be surprised to hear that he beat out the NFL in the ratings.
Speaking of golf, and the Patriots, I have to talk about this quote from Belichick talking about TB12 playing in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. However, I did not need Bill to tell us that Tom was a “play it as it lies” kinda guy, because you don’t win 5 SB rings by cutting corners, so it is very on brand for Brady. I would give an arm and a leg to just be the kid who walks around with the scoreboard to just be a part of this group.
This story from Bill Belichick on @RapSheet's podcast about Tom Brady hanging over a cliff so he could hit a shot in a Pro-Am golf tournament may be the funniest thing I've ever heard.https://t.co/OhR6F1y4JI pic.twitter.com/gVqdM8IxIR

What a time of year, with the FedEx Cup/Ryder Cup, CFB/NFL starting up, and the MLB winding down! I am sick of summer and it being so goddamn hot, give me fall, and give it to me now. There is nothing better than a nice fall morning, play 18 with the boys, and finish just in time to get your bets in, and fix your fantasy lineups before kickoff.
