One of the biggest (underrated) rivalries in baseball happened this weekend, that is the Crosstown Classic between the Cubs and the other team that plays baseball in Chicago. The Cubs took two out of three in the series but heavily outscored the team from the South Side 22-11 with 12 of those runs being at the hands of Willson Contreras, runs and/or RBI’s, and thank God for another year of Sox fans bitching and moaning over their shit team.

Willson Contreras went absolutely off on friday night, going 4 for 5 with 2 HR’s, 2 doubles, and 7 RBI’s. Heyo! That is the big Willy Power we all know and love. Over the past 7 games big Willy has a .353/.371/.842 slash line, 3 HR’s, and 12 RBI’s…12 RBI’s! As I said earlier, the Southsiders scored 11 runs all series! The rest of the team could have not scored at all in the whole series and the Cubs still would have outscored the Sox. It’s official, Willson Contreras owns the White Sox.

Also, look at fucking Javy executing a sliding swim move that is some shit straight out of the Matrix. Among other notable things from the Red Line Series, Bryant and Rizzo both homered in the series, making it number 7 and 6 on the year for them, respectively. Lester grabbed his 3rd win of the year, and Brandon Morrow tallied his 9th save. Besides dropping the Mother’s Day game, it was a good series for Cubs Nation and from the looks of it, the second series in September should be just as fun to watch. In closing, let us all take a moment to thank all of the mom’s out there for being the dopest of the dope.
P.S. This Chicago Cubs Bullpen recreation of the Superbad opening scene is comedy at its finest.
