The Tiger Effect Is Real

What a weekend. While Team Tiger didn’t come away with the hardware, everyone left with a little something… Peace of mind, a smile, maybe some money if you bet Tiger to place better than 26th & a top 10 (ME). Everyone was satisfied, even Eldrick. So, despite not claiming a W, everyone felt they took away a small victory from this weekend. The Tiger Effect is real and TIGER IS BACK.
Wow, what an amazing week…people, atmosphere, adrenaline, back nine on Sunday, man I’ve missed this. Getting better. Thank you for all the support!

We have been saying he’s back every time he returns for any tournament, and even 3849723 times this season as well. We’ve claimed that the King is back atop his throne, and while that’s not necessarily true (yet), but it does sound great and it seems like we are on our way back to the days of Tiger-Roars heard round the world, and players crumbling at the site of him coming up back nines (looking at you Connors)…
A vintage Sunday roar for @TigerWoods. 🙌🐅 pic.twitter.com/oyyUfP1QyE

While it wasn’t vintage Tiger, it was enough to enthrall casual golf fans around the world. He didn’t complete the comeback/victory march, but by gawd he looked great trying. Missed birdie putts is okay, especially considering he’s 5 tournaments back from #Fusion surgery… But back to the “Tiger Effect”. The figures are staggering, especially the rolling comparison to the 2017 Valspar…
VIEWERSHIP: @NBCSports RD 3 cvge @ValsparChamp earned a 3.26 overnight rtg (+181% vs. ’17), highest-rated PGA TOUR RD 3 on any broadcast network in nearly 12 years. And the Sunday ratings are even more impressive.
“NBC saw a record 5.11 overnight rating on Sunday for its 3pm-6pm coverage of the final round of the Valspar Championship, the best rating for a non-Major PGA Tour event since the 2013 Players Championship. Sunday’s final round was also the best-rated golf telecast, other than The Masters, since the 2015 PGA Championship.” – Daniel Roberts, Yahoo Finance. READ MORE
HAVE MERCY. Now, as the world gets prepared for The Masters (23 days, 15 hrs, 21 minutes, and 12 seconds to be exact), we still have some Tiger action to prep for. This weekend, Tiger will tee it back up at Bay Hill Country Club at the Arnold Palmer Invitational (RIP KING).
So look later this week, for the preview of the #APInv… and of course, the betting odds for our man, where he has won 8 (EIGHT!!!!) times in the past.
But on behalf of golf enthusiasts and casual fans alike… Thank You Tiger, we’ve missed you.
GLBOL This weekend!
