As soon as Sam Darnold signed the contract, he went right to practice, and showed up to an amazing slow clap from his teammates. Here it is:

It’s really amazing how much respect Sam Darnold already has from his Jet teammates. Clearly, they’re extremely excited to get started with him. Nearly an hour and a half after his entrance, Darnold threw his first touchdown of training camp to rookie tight end Chris Herndon. Two minutes after that, he threw another TD to make it two passing touchdowns in Darnold’s first two passes at training camp.
As a Jet fan, I could jump through my ceiling right now. That’s how ecstatic I am about Sam Darnold. We finally have a franchise quarterback (knock on wood) and it feels amazing. It’s going to be a really fun season, and hopefully we get to see Darnold play a lot.
The Jets kick off their preseason vs. the Falcons on Friday, August 10th at 7:30 p.m at MetLife Stadium. I’ll end this blog with a clip of a beautiful Sam Darnold pass to Robby Anderson…
