MLB Trade Deadline Recap

That time has come and passed. The time when you find out if your team is all in or all out. The Trade Deadline was an exciting one this year with some big name players being moved. The deadline was the 31st of July and Twitter was on fire, also I want to give a shoutout to Cut4 for being one of the biggest MLB account trolls on twitter (It’s better when people forget to read the top line).
FINAL ROUND!
Who says no?

So here we go with the bigger names being dealt on deadline day…

Brian Dozier to the Dodgers. First they take Machado and now this?! This just screams that the Dodgers are looking for National League glory again this year. It is a great addition to the infield and Dozier is one of the most underrated second basemen in the Majors. He hits for both contact and power and is above average in the field.

Chris Archer to the Pirates. This one for sure made the Pirates fan base ecstatic. The Pirates are on a tear lately winning 16 out of their last 21. I have said it before and I will say it again, don’t sleep on the Pirates, they are flying that Jolly Roger straight up the ass of the competition lately.
Jonathan Schoop to the Brewers. The NL Central has been up for grabs all year, and the Brewers have been one of those streaking teams most of the season. Trading places with the Cubs for first place. With this move and the addition of Mike Moustakas, the Brew Crew are looking to take and hold a commanding lead in the NL Central and it is all or nothing for Milwaukee in 2018.
Tommy Pham to the Rays. This one made me question how this day was going to go. It was the first “big trade” of the day. Granted, I am glad to see Pham out of St. Louis, I also just wonder what they were thinking. Pham is having a sub par year so far but he is still a great player. Needless to say, I was not in on any of these conversations so do I really know anything? No.

Wilson Ramos to the Phillies. Ramos is having his best year since his last All Star year in 2012. The Phillies are in good position to take the NL East this year and having this bull behind the plate will help extend that lead. Personally, I thought Ramos was going to return to Washington but like I said in the paragraph above, I know nothing.
Lastly, I want to give a shout out to the Washington Nationals for the biggest clickbait move of the day…

Who the fuck does this? Going out and saying that the number one trade piece in all of baseball right now is available and then just saying… nah we’re good. Thanks for the attention though. Fuck you. This is why I never get my hopes up.
