LeBron Is Going To Be In Philly Next Year, So Prepare Yourself For That

By far, the most important free-agent this NBA offseason is Jesus Christ–I mean LeBron James. This is mostly because whatever team he chooses to join will be almost guaranteed a shot at an NBA Championship in 2019. That is if he chooses to stay in the Eastern Conference, which there is no question that he should.
Currently, LeBron James is the only thing making Eastern Conference basketball really all that interesting, especially when compared to the power-house teams in the Western Conference. The only thing on LeBron’s mind should be more RINGS, as that’s the only argument that old-timers have to hold Michael Jordan above him as the GOAT. For that reason, all Western Conference teams currently prospecting LeBron should be completely ruled out. LeBron is not going to risk having to face the Rockets, Warriors, Thunder and Spurs before even reaching the Western Conference Finals. He wants to join a team that will be able to compete for a title as soon as he joins them, he is not going to take any unnecessary (and honestly stupid) risks.
With all Western Conference teams ruled out immediately, the relevant teams in the discussion are the 76ers, the Heat, the Cavaliers and the Celtics. The Cavs are the easiest team to rule out in this entire discussion because LeBron has already shown that he would rather play several games with a broken hand than deal with Tyron Lou’s blatant stupidity any longer. Not to mention that the Cavs have a below average roster excluding LeBron, with a combined IQ of 97. The Celtics should also be an easy rule out because they are a team with absolutely insane depth and incredible young talent. The team made it to the Conference Finals this past year without their two best players on the court. The Celtics would be stupid to trade away their depth and young talent, which is currently showing the potential of a legitimate NBA Dynasty. They do not need LeBron and Kyrie would certainly not appreciate going back to a second option.
I do think it would be interesting to see LeBron James make a return to the Heat, but the Heat would need to do some serious contract restructuring with their current roster in order to be able to fit him into the mix. This means danger for LeBron James because the current Heat roster is a single superstar away from being a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, they would have to give away multiple key role players and risk destroying their team chemistry, which they absolutely thrive on. I would expect LeBron to entertain the Heat out of respect for having played for them before.
That leaves one legitimate team for LeBron to join, the Philadelphia 76ers BABY. The Sixers are dripping with young talent with Embiid, Simmons, Saric, Covington and several key veterans on the roster. With four rising stars looking to have a breakout year and the addition of the greatest player in the world, this roster would be an absolute wrecking ball in the Eastern Conference and prove to be a serious threat against any team from the Western Conference. More than the short-term appeal of winning more rings, LeBron would be given the chance to argue that he was a part of building an Eastern Conference powerhouse even after he is no longer in the league.
LeBron is not a stupid guy and I know that he recognizes the obvious opportunity that is available if he joins the 76ers. We all know that wherever LeBron goes, championships are sure to follow, so get HYPHY PHILADELPHIA. Another Championship is heading your way soon!
