Kawhi Leonard vs. the Spurs was probably one of the weirdest NBA storylines I’ve ever seen. A quad injury turned into more than just a quad injury, but also some potential beef between Kawhi and the Spurs organization.
Leonard, a top seven player in the NBA when healthy, played in only nine games this season. There was a time during the season when Kawhi Leonard was even cleared to play, and he said he wasn’t ready to return.
Not only did Kawhi Leonard miss all these games, but he wasn’t even with the Spurs for most of them, including their postseason series against the Warriors. The rumor was that Kawhi was rehabbing his injury, so he couldn’t make it to the series.
Here we are, a couple of weeks later, and Kawhi Leonard is attending Dodger games in Los Angeles.
It's been just over two weeks since the Spurs were eliminated. Kawhi Leonard wasn't able to attend a single playoff game.
Tonight, he caught a Dodgers game in LA. This will definitely be your Laker fan-friend's new favorite video.

Usually, I would have absolutely no problem with this, but this situation is so far from normal. Kawhi couldn’t even attend his own team’s games, but he’s out here in LA going to baseball games?!?! Come on, there’s something wrong with that.
I’m not sure what exactly is going on here, but to me it’s pretty clear that Kawhi Leonard won’t be in San Antonio with the Spurs for much longer.
It has been reported in the past that Gregg Popovich will rarely trade within the Western Conference, so keep an eye on several Eastern Conference teams to make a strong push for Kawhi Leonard this summer. These teams include the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, and Milwaukee Bucks.
I’ve been a huge fan of Kawhi Leonard since his days in the NCAA Tournament with San Diego State, but I lost a lot of respect for him over this whole Spurs saga. We’ll find out if he could redeem himself with a new organization soon.
