Aaron Rodgers Proves To Us Again That He’s The Best Quarterback In The NFL

No matter what team you’re a fan of, you were holding your breath when Aaron Rodgers went down with an apparent knee injury on Sunday night. Rodgers was already injured last season, and losing the NFL’s best player one quarter into the season would have been absolutely terrible. There was definitely a legitimate reason to think this was a possibility as well, as the injury to Rodgers’ knee looked like it could have been serious.

You could see the immediate pain Rodgers was as his foot/leg twister the wrong way. Following this play, Rodgers was helped to the medical tent, and then taken to the locker room by the cart… the dreaded injury cart. When any NFL fan thinks cart, they think a potential serious, season-ending injury.
Down 17-0 at halftime, one of the most improbable thing happened. NBC sideline reporter Michele Tafoya told all nervous football fans that Aaron Rodgers was coming out of the locker room to play the second half. The rest of the NFL season could be amazing, and this will still stick out to me as one of the best moments of the season. I was shocked, just like everyone else watching in the world.
So naturally, down 20-0 in the third quarter, Aaron Rodgers started to do Aaron Rodgers things, but on one leg. He led the Packers to a field goal to cut the lead to 17, and then threw as good of a pass as you’ll ever see to Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison for a 39-yard touchdown.

There’s no other quarterback in the NFL that makes that throw. It’s as simple as that.
Rodgers then led the Packers down the field again with a 51-yard pass to DaVante Adams and later that drive, a 12-yard yard touchdown to DaVante Adams. That Adams touchdown brought the Packers within 3 points. The Bears then drove down the field, kicked a field goal, and went up by 6 points.
When Aaron Rodgers got the ball back with 2:30 left, everyone knew what would happen. Just like everyone thought, Aaron Rodgers completed the greatest fourth quarterback comeback in Packers’ franchise history. A 75-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb put the Packers up 24-23, propelling them to a 1-0 to start the 2018 NFL season.

I must give credit to Randall Cobb, who had a career-high in receiving yards last night at 142, but Aaron Rodgers is a wizard. Rodgers may be the most gifted quarterback ever to step on an NFL field. He threw for 273 yards last night… IN THE SECOND HALF. Oh wait, and remember that he only did that on one leg.
As long as all other tests come back positive, Aaron Rodgers will be playing next week in a huge game vs. the Vikings. I’m hoping the Packers defense could improve a bit, as Rodgers is going to need it if he wants to win his second Super Bowl. After last night though, one thing is clear. Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL, and it’s not a debate.
