While it may seem that @RapSheet beat me to the punch yet again with the news that the Philadelphia Eagles are promoting former assistant QB coach Press Taylor to QB coach, I know the real scoop behind it all. Some may call me the Brian Windhorst (minus the 10 chins) to Coach Taylor, some may say we are best friends…whatever you call our relationship, just know that when news breaks on Press Taylor…I’m your guy.
Press will replace former QB coach, John DeFilippo, who is now offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings.
The promotion is definitely much deserved for Taylor, as he was the brains behind the best play in Super Bowl history…the Philly Special. Dougie P and BDN may get all the credit for the play call, but it was Taylor who found the play.
Reich told me the kernel of the idea originated from an industrious Eagles quality-control coach, Press Taylor. Said Reich: “Press has this, what we call this vault of trick plays. It’s an immense vault, so every week we go into Press’s vault looking for plays.”- Sports Illustrated

Congrats to my soon-to-be best friend, Press Taylor on his new gig. If you need someone to fill your old position as assistant QB coach, I know a guy who is a genius with drawing up trick plays on madden.
Still waiting on them bubbles to pop up… #FlyEaglesFly
